چکیده
Nanomedicine provides a promising platform for the molecular treatment of disease. An ongoing challenge in nanomedicine is targeted delivery intravenously administered nanoparticles to particular tissues, which special interest cancer. Herein, conjugation iRGD peptides shown, specifically targets tumor neovasculature, surface Physalis mottle virus (PhMV)-like nanoparticles, leading rapid cellular uptake vitro and homing vivo. It then shown that iRGD-targeted PhMV loaded with chemotherapeutic doxorubicin shows increased potency murine flank xenograft model The results validate PhMV-like can be tumors through iRGD-peptide suggest iRGD-PhMV cargo tumors.

Truncated Hepatitis B virus like nanoparticles: A novel drug delivery platform for cancer therapy
Nowadays, Nano-sized drug delivery systems have been studied extensively for theirpotential in cancer therapy. Various drug nanocarriers are being developed including liposomes, micelles, and Virus like nanoparticles (VLNPs). VLNPs offer many advantages for developing smart drug delivery systems due to their precise and repeated structures and relatively large cargo capacities. Truncated ...
متن کاملVirus‐like particles: Next‐generation nanoparticles for targeted therapeutic delivery
Most drug therapies distribute the agents throughout the entire body, even though the drugs are typically only needed at specific tissues. This often limits dosage and causes discomfort and harmful side-effects. Significant research has examined nanoparticles (NPs) for use as targeted delivery vehicles for therapeutic cargo, however, major clinical success has been limited. Current work focuses...
متن کاملpH-responsive Virus-like Nanoparticles with Enhanced Tumour-targeting Ligands for Cancer Drug Delivery
Multifunctional nanocarriers harbouring specific targeting moieties and with pH-responsive properties offer great potential for targeted cancer therapy. Several synthetic drug carriers have been studied extensively as drug delivery systems but not much information is available on the application of virus-like nanoparticles (VLNPs) as multifunctional nanocarriers. Here, we describe the developme...
متن کاملDrug Delivery Using Nanoparticles for Cancer Stem-Like Cell Targeting
The theory of cancer stem-like cell (or cancer stem cell, CSC) has been established to explain how tumor heterogeneity arises and contributes to tumor progression in diverse cancer types. CSCs are believed to drive tumor growth and elicit resistance to conventional therapeutics. Therefore, CSCs are becoming novel target in both medical researches and clinical studies. Emerging evidences showed ...

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005-2015 [1]. According using the WHO mortality database it has been estimated the total number of cancer deaths in the European Union (EU) and in 2012 is predicted to be 1283101, of which 717398 men and 565703 women [2]. The most common types of cancer that will be diagnosed are lung (C33-C34), int...
